Configuration Equipment Data Quality

For the six fields below, you can set when existing data can be updated by an incoming data source, depending on the source of the existing data:

No other equipment attributes are currently supported.

If you do not choose to manually set data quality for these fields, the default precedence settings apply. See Data Quality Indicators (on page 1) for these default values.

Example of how to use data quality (on page 1)

To set the data quality for an attribute:

  1. In the left pane, double-click on a Data Source for the incoming data that you want to control.

  1. Select any of the following attributes (they are the same for each data source). These are the only attributes that you can control:

  1. From the second drop-down list, select an operator, such as is (=), is not (!=), or is one of (in). For more information on operators, see Using filter operators.

  2. From the third drop-down list, select the data source for the existing value that you want to either preserve or allow updates. The list of values is the same as the list of data sources in the left pane.

  3. Click + Add Criterion.

The criteria is displayed as an If statement as shown in the graphic below:

  1. Click Set Value.

  2. From the Posting Action drop-down list, select one of the following options:

  1. Click Save.
